The Cathedral observes the Feast of Pentecost with a service of the Holy Eucharist.

The Reverend Canon Steven Lee preached at the Cathedral's May 28 Holy Eucharist Service, reflecting on the Gospel as we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost.

The Cathedral's Sunday worship service will be held in-person in the Nave. Read more on COVID-19 guidelines for all those joining us for in-person worship. The Cathedral hosted the Episcopal Diocese of New York for the ordination and consecration of The Reverend Matthew Heyd as Bishop Coadjutor. The Very Reverend Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Interim President and former Dean of Episcopal Divinity School at Union preached at the Ordination and Consecration service this past Saturday, May 20, 2023.

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the Episcopal Diocese of New York host an intimate conversation with The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, and The Rev. Matthew Heyd, Bishop Coadjutor-Elect, on the themes of reparations, economic justice, and creation care.
