The Juilliard Trombone Choir, under the direction of Denson Paul Pollard, will join us for a post-Evensong recital as part of International Trombone Week, an annual worldwide celebration of the trombone! Since its beginning in 2003, thousands of trombonists have created and participated in home-grown events all over the world.

The International Trombone Week is marking its 15-year anniversary by launching a new global initiative called Trombone Bank. Trombone Bank will welcome monetary donations in support of charities doing inspiring work through music. The first 2017 recipient will be Brass for Africa, an organization working in Uganda and Liberia to give a voice to disadvantaged children and young people through Brass Music and Brass Music Education.

Let us celebrate the trombone worldwide and combine it with supporting a very noble cause!
