Professional musicians from leading New York City institutions present a concert in response to the non-indictments following the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Modeled after the "freedom concerts" presented by the late Coretta Scott King throughout her leadership in the civil rights movement, this evening of spoken word and music will feature performers David Hurd, Joe Chappel, Jonathan Woody, Charles Duke and others sharing personal stories, poetry and prose along with a wide range of classical and contemporary vocal and instrumental music. Admission: $20 suggested donation.
