Maude Barlow and Wenonah Hauter will join Dean Kowalski for a wide ranging conversation taking on some of the most pressing environmental perils our planet is up against.

Barlow, bestselling author and activist, is the National Chairwoman of the Council of Canadians, a citizens advocacy group; co-founder of The Blue Planet Project; one of the “1000 Women for Peace” nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize; and 2009 winner of the prestigious Lannan Cultural Freedom Fellowship, known as the “Alternative Nobel” will speak on "Our Great Lakes Commons: A People’s Plan to Protect the Great Lakes Forever"—a vitally important project for all who care about freshwater.

Hauter, Founder and Executive Director of Food & Water Watch, has worked extensively on energy, food, water and environmental issues at the national, state and local level. Experienced in developing policy positions and legislative strategies, she is also a skilled and accomplished organizer, having lobbied and developed grassroots field strategy and action plans.
