This Friday evening and Saturday morning urban retreat is designed for adults seeking rest from their busy lives for soul renewal and spiritual direction. The evening’s chanting, meditation and reflection will draw upon the rich tapestry of the world’s faith traditions.

On December 12th and 13th, Nightwatch Dusk & Dawn presents The Coming Of Christ, The Arrival Of The Sun, led by Peter Azrak. During the “mid-winter” in the Northern Hemisphere, various religious traditions celebrate the arrival of longer days of light around the 21st of December. In our workshop we will explore what it means to be called to the Light. Why is Jesus of Nazareth so important in this pursuit? And why is it incumbent upon us all to realize that peoples from all corners of the earth, no matter what tradition that may follow, are being called to follow the light of the Sun?

Peter Azrak is a psychotherapist in private practice. Having received Masters degrees in Religious Studies and Social Work, his interest is the integration of psychotherapy with the path of spirituality.

This two-part series offers a Friday evening of meditation and devotional chanting led by Ambika Cooper, followed by a Saturday half-day workshop. Register for either Friday or Saturday, or both.

Friday, December 12: 7 to 9 pm
