This service, in commemoration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will include readings from his speeches and other writings as well as musical selections curated by Director of Music Kent Tritle. Dr. Robert Carey will present a guest sermon.

ABOUT ROBERT CAREY
Carey did his undergraduate work at Wesleyan University, finished his M.Div. and S.T.M at Union Seminary, and completed his doctoral studies in American History at Columbia. While at Union, he took a two year leave from 1963–1965—the first year to work in Dr. King’s Ebenezer Baptist Church as an assistant pastor, the second year to continue on at the church while serving at the Acting Director of the Atlanta Council on Human Relations. He is a Professor of Historical Studies, SUNY/Empire State College.
