The Cathedral’s St. Francis Day service is offered in person and over livestream for all to take part, from home or in our sacred space. This service will begin on October 5 at 10:30am.
All pets and people are welcome to this beloved annual tradition honoring St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of the environment and ecology. The day begins with a worship service at 10:30am, featuring the Procession of the Animals, music by Artist in Residence Paul Winter, and dance by Forces of Nature.
The service will also be livestreamed for those wishing to join us from home. The video will be available on this page and on the Cathedral's YouTube channel.
Following the service will be the Fair and Pet Blessings, held rain or shine.
Everyone is welcome to participate.
Passes for these events are not required. Seating for the service is first come, first served. The Pet Blessings will begin outside as soon as the service has concluded, at approximately 12pm.
