Join us to celebrate the opening of The Barberini Tapestries: Woven Monuments of Baroque Rome, an immersive exhibit that presents the Cathedral’s set of 17^th-century tapestries in ornate chapel settings, just as they would have been in the days when the Barberini family first commissioned these magnificent works. Docents will be on hand to provide information about the tapestries, their rich history, and the years of painstaking labor performed at the Cathedral’s Textile Conservation Lab to restore these artifacts to their original splendor.
